Initial Announcement

On April 30, 2018, the South Korean arm of the Coca-Cola Beverage Company announced their partnership with BTS for their 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia campaign. Coca-Cola has been an official sponsor of the event since 1978.

On July 17, 2018, Coca-Cola announced the launch of their special edition cans and bottles featuring BTS. The collection consisted of seven kinds of cans and bottles in colors representing each member to include: pink (RM), blue (Jin), mint (Suga), green (J-Hope), orange (Jimin), purple (V), and red (Jungkook).

On January 8, 2021, Coca-Cola released a commercial video titled ‘Turn Up Your Rhythm’ via their YouTube channel. The video featured people from all over the world drinking Coca-Cola while enjoying background music performed by Jungkook, V, Jimin, and Jin. This collaboration was part of a campaign that was first launched in Indonesia and them rolled out to other countries.

The #BTS cover of X Ambassadors’ 2014 hit ‘Jungle’ was also used for a Coca-Cola campaign.
