What is Connect, BTS?
‘Connect, BTS’ was a global project [held from January 2020 through March 2020] that connected 5 cities and 22 artists, each of whom contributed their unique philosophy and imagination to it. This project aimed to provide a collective experience that brought a new communication between art, music, and people!
It was to redefine the relationships between art and music, the material and immaterial, artists and their audiences, artists and artists, theory and practice.
A collective curatorial practice by curators around the world who resonated with BTS’s philosophy.

Ann Vernoica Janssens explores the sensory experience of reality, suggesting that all perception is fragile at best. By investigating the properties of space, light, radiant colour, and translucent or reflective surfaces, Janssens destabilizes and disrubts ideas about materiality.
👤Special Collabortaion: Yiyun Kang <Beyond the Scene>
Yiyun Kang explores the intersection of art, technology, and experience, generating immersive projection-mapped environments. The moving images of her installed works explore a symbiotic relationship between hybrid imagery, spatial narrative, and space unexplored by conventional screens.
Beyond the Scene is a re-imagination of BTS’s signature dance movements as seen through projection mapping…The figures' limited silhouettes might appear anonymous and abstract, but with time, shapes and forms are brought together to populate the space—like a metaphor for how the seven band members build BTS together with the support of their fans, known as A.R.M.Y

New York Clearing (2020) is a quantum drawing countering the Euclidean geometry of architecture with the sweeping vectors of a line without beginning or end. This is the first time that the work will be installed outdoors, without architectural support...this evocation of energy will be seen against the skyline of Manhattan and converse with the city across the waters of the East River. In the creation of this looping and swooping line the work will respond to the inherent qualities and behavior of the aluminum tubing. Here is a structure that in its highs and lows plays with the rhythms of music. New York Clearing will be created in time through the energy of its makers in order to catalyse the potential of its viewers.
