On July 3, 2024, Big Hit announced that Jin will represent South Korea as a torchbearer for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France scheduled to begin on July 27, 2024.
Jin will participate in the torch relay to spread messages of harmony and peace and will travel to various historic sites of the host country.
On July 12, 2024, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Organizing Committee stated Jin will be the first torchbearer in the Musée du Louvre section of the torch relay in Paris on Sunday, July 14, 2024. Jin is expected to participate in the torch relay around the Musée du Louvre’s Pyramid at 8:30pm CEST.
