On November 10, 2022, BigHit announced that RM will release his first official solo album titled, ‘Indigo’, on December 2, 2022. This is RM’s third solo release to date. He previously released 2 mixtapes: ‘RM’ (2015) and ‘Mono’ (2018). Weverse Magazine revealed that RM’s Indigo: Part One would include collaborations with Kim Sawol, Colde, youjeen, and parkjiyoon and Part Two of his album would include collaborations with Erykah Badu, Anderson Paak, Tablo, Mahalia, and Paul Blanco.

Special ARMY Event: On November 23, 2022, Big Hit announced that RM will host an intimate live session with 200 fans to celebrate the release of this solo album, Indigo. The event will take place on December 5, 2022 at 8pm KST in an unpublicized location in South Korea. Winners will be selected through a raffle.
