First Foreign Artist To Top Oricon's Year-End Artist Ranking 2 Years In A Row

BTS has once again topped Oriconโs year-end artist ranking for 2022 as the best-selling artist in Japan! With this, BTS becomes the first foreign artist to rank no. 1 on the annual ranking for two consecutive years. Last year, they became the first foreign artist to top Oriconโs year-end artist rankings. Streaming data and total sales of an artistโs singles, albums, and DVDs are considered when determining the annual ranking.
The BTS members remarked, โWe were able to receive this award, which is a huge honor, thanks to ARMY [BTSโs fandom] and the many people who love our music. We were truly happy to be able to hold concerts in various places this year and meet ARMY from all over the world.
