BTS has the bestselling song for the second year in a row!
According to MRC Data’s year-end report, BTS’s "Butter" was the No. 1 bestselling song of 2021 in the U.S. with 1.889 million copies sold. "Butter" was the only single to sell 1 million copies in 2021, making it BTS’s second year in a row to score the only million-seller in the U.S. after “Dynamite” in 2020.
“Dynamite,” “Permission to Dance,” and “My Universe” (Coldplay x BTS) also make the top 10 best-selling digital songs of 2021 list.
In addition to this achievement, BTS’s overall catalog sold 1.03 million copies on the CD format, making them the bestselling artist on the format in 2021!
