BTS becomes the first foreign group to top Oriconβs Year-End Album chart with their album, "BTS, THE BEST."
BTS is the third foreign act overall and the first act since Michael Jackson in 1984 to achieve this feat.

For this yearβs rankings, Oricon compiled sales data within Japan from December 28, 2020 to December 20, 2021, and according to their calculations, βBTS, THE BESTβ was the best-selling album of the year with 993,000 copies sold in Japan.
