'Map of the Soul: 7' Tops Mid-Year Oricon Album Sales Chart

BTS’s Map of the Soul: 7 has become the No. 1 seller (so far in 2020) on Japan’s Oricon album sales chart after selling 429,000 copies. They are the first Korean artists to do so and the first foreign artists to top the chart since 1984.
'MAP OF THE SOUL: 7' is an album that looks back on the 7th year of the debut of BTS, which is a member of 7 members and a team, and contains 19 songs of various genres including the title song 'ON'. It contains the candid story of BTS, who accepted both 'I want to show the world', the inner shadow that I had been hiding, and 'I want to turn away', and found 'I am perfect'. BTS ranked first in the Oricon Daily Album Chart, Weekly Album Chart, and Weekly Total Album Chart.
