BTS Officially Appointed As Ambassadors For World Expo Busan 2030

On July 19, 2022 (KST), a ceremony was held to officially appoint BTS as honorary ambassadors for the 2030 World Expo in Busan. Each member was presented a plaque and leader, RM, delivered a speech on behalf of the members.
βItβs a true honor that BTS has been appointed as ambassadors for the 2030 Busan World Expo. We will do our best to make the bid successful. Starting with the global concert in Busan set for October, we will strive earnestly to support the bidding and contribute to spreading South Koreaβs beautiful culture around the world. Again, we ask for everyoneβs love, attention and support for the Expo.β
As ambassadors, the members will participate in various promotional activities including holding a global concert in October and promoting Busan as a candidate at the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) General Assembly.
