In celebration of his birthday, SUGA made a 100 million won (~$88,000) donation to the Keimyung University Dongsan Medical Center in his hometown of Daegu, supporting children battling cancer.

"I wanted to help the children, who cannot receive proper treatment because of financial hardship, and see them become healthy and bright," Suga said through the hospital.

Cho Chi-heum, the director of the hospital said: "We were so moved by Suga's charitable act. I hope positive influence like this can further spread in our society. I am also truly proud of BTS members for enhancing national prestige and wish the band continues to win the hearts of people around the world."
