How to Vote

Can International Fans vote?

  • Yes; however, many international fans have reported that it is difficult to obtain hearts that are needed to vote through the app, as they are centered around Korean media.

  • Join
    1) Download the FREEVOTE app.

    • You may need to type in the Hangul characters to find it (ν”„λ¦¬λ³΄νŠΈ-FREEVOTE).

    2) You can try to change the language by clicking the globe icon in the upper left corner, but this may not work.

    3) Create an account by clicking the profile tab in the lower right corner.

  • Collect hearts
    1) You can go to the heart tab and earn free hearts by completing missions, or you purchase hearts ("charging").

    • Note: It is very difficult for international fans to earn hearts as all instructions are in Korean and oftentimes after completing the task, the mission won't actually give you hearts. Here are some tips on how to collect hearts through missions.

    2) Free hearts expire 50 days from date acquired. Charged hearts expire 180 days from purchase date.

  • Vote
    1) Via the home page in the FREEVOTE app, click the Inkigayo banner to vote.
    2) Click this week's voting and then choose idol group (BTS) to give votes.

    • 1 vote = 30 hearts.

    * Voting limit: 5 times per day
