Initial Announcement
On May 26, 2021, fast-food chain McDonald’s launched their limited edition BTS Meal and merchandise collections in collaboration with BTS.
The meal included 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, medium fries, a medium Coke, and for the first time in the U.S., sweet chili and Cajun dipping sauces inspired by popular recipes from McDonald’s restaurants in South Korea. The BTS meal was available in participating restaurants worldwide until June 20, 2021.
The McDonald’s x BTS merchandise collection was initially released along side the BTS meal, however a second drop known as the “Saucy” and “Melty” collections were later released on June 16, 2021. Both collections were inspired by the BTS Meal and the band’s hit song, “Butter.” All collections are available for purchase via the Weverse Shop and includes items such as hoodies, pajamas, t-shirts, bathrobes, socks, keyrings, and sandals.
